2025 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar announced!
The FIA and Formula 1 have revealed the calendar for the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship, marking the sport’s 75th anniversary with another thrilling 24-round season.
Celebrating 75 Years
Formula 1 CEO and President Stefano Domenicali commented, “2025 will be a special year as we celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship, and it’s that legacy and experience that allows us to deliver such a strong calendar. Once again, we’ll visit 24 incredible venues around the world, delivering top-class racing, hospitality, and entertainment, which will be enjoyed by millions of fans worldwide.” The season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14-16 and concludes with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 5-7. The schedule spans five continents, promising a diverse and exciting series of races. With Ramadan falling in March, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix have been rescheduled for April to accommodate cultural observances.
Summer Break and Geographical Flow
The traditional summer break in August offers three weekends off, separating the Hungarian Grand Prix from the Dutch Grand Prix. Changes made in 2024 for better geographical flow continue in 2025, with Japan following Australia and China in April, European races over the summer, and the Americas in the autumn. The season ends with Qatar and Abu Dhabi back-to-back.
Last Year of Current Regulations
As the final year of the current regulations, the 2025 season promises to be a cracker. Teams and drivers will be pushing the limits to make the most of the established rules, leading to potentially dramatic and unforgettable races.
