Home to Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha, Japan is one of the biggest manufacturers of motorcycles in the world. The country has a long history of motorcycle racing, with the first MotoGP race being staged in 1963 at the Suzuka circuit. The Motegi twin ring circuit has now been hosting MotoGP for 20 years, since 1999.
