MotoGP 2024 provisional calendar announced!
The 2024 MotoGP provisional calendar has been officially unveiled, marking a historic milestone with a total of 22 Grands Prix slated for the season. The forthcoming year anticipates delivering yet another enthralling season of on-track competition, commencing on March 10th in Qatar, and concluding on November 17th in Valencia.
2024 represents a momentous juncture in the annals of MotoGP, as the sport commemorates the 75th anniversary of motorcycle Grand Prix racing. This significant commemoration coincides with a pivotal shift toward sustainability, as MotoGP embarks on the journey to adopt 100% sustainable fuel. Commencing in 2024, it is mandated that a minimum of 40% of the fuel utilised originates from non-fossil sources, with the ultimate objective of attaining complete sustainability by 2027.
Maintaining its regionalised approach, the 2024 calendar organises races geographically, optimizing efficiency as both freight and personnel travel across the globe. This balanced schedule encompasses 11 races before the summer break and 11 races after, ensuring an exciting and well-structured season ahead.
